Shipping FAQ
Please read this FAQ for important answers to our most common questions about shipping. You may have been routed here by an automated email response. Please read through the FAQ before contacting us again. We have created this due to the high volume of emails asking these questions. If, you have read this and are still unsatisfied, feel free to email us again.
Q: I got an email notifying me that my item has shipped; does that mean it is on its way to me?
A: Not necessarily. We are a small company and our ecommerce department, including shipping, is run by one person. Because our volume is not as high as other internet dealers, we only ship out items approximately twice a week. We use a 3rd party shipping service through UPS and USPS and they have a minimum package amount. Once that amount is reached, we ship.
Q: What is a Delivery Confirmation Number and how is it different from a Tracking Number?
A: A Delivery Confirmation Number is used by USPS to let a customer know that their package has been delivered. Most of the time, USPS updates their system every time they scan a delivery confirmation number. However, they may not update they system until the package has actually been delivered.
Q: How long does it usually take for my package to arrive?
A: (US Domestic) Normally, a package will take 7 to 10 days to arrive. Most customers find this length of time to be longer than usual but, I will break it down for you.
- Once paid, an order may spend 1 to 4 days pending before being filled, see above.
- Once processed, an order is shipped, with other orders, to the shipping hub. There it may stay for 1 to 3 days before being shipped to you.
- Once shipped, it may spend 1 to 5 days in transit by USPS before being delivered.
A: (International) Most international orders will take from 10 to 15 days to arrive. Items like pickups will take longer than others due to US Customs regulations. According to USPS, any international package may take up to 6 weeks to be delivered, even to Canada and Europe.
Q: It has been more than 10 days since I was notified that my package has shipped; what should I do?
A: If your order was placed through eBay, simply contact us with your issue and we will look into it. If your order was placed through this site, email us and we will help you.
Q: I think my order may have been lost in transit, what do I do?
A: On US Domestic orders, USPS requires we wait 30 days from the shipping date before a lost package claim can be filed. Please check your sales record to make sure that it has indeed been that long before assuming it has been lost. If it has been more than 30 days, contact us and we will send you another item. Don't worry about the insurance claim, we will handle it.
On international shipments, USPS requires we wait 45 days before we can file a lost package claim. We have the same policy as with the domestic shipment. We will send you a replacement item, after the USPS waiting time has expired.
